# Use RefKit with Shopify

RefKit for Shopify lets Shopify store owners create and operate an affiliate program from Shopify Admin. Install it from the [Shopify App Store](https://apps.shopify.com/refkit-affiliates).

The Shopify app is the signup and connection path for a Shopify store. For a SaaS or another software product, use the [manual](/docs/integrate-refkit/manual-setup.md) or [coding agent](/docs/integrate-refkit/ai-coding-agent.md) setup instead.

## What the Shopify app manages

* Programs with percentage-based commission.
* Affiliates, storefront Affiliate Links, and optional Shopify discount codes.
* Attribution for eligible paid orders, refunds, and repeat customers.
* Commission records and payout batches.

## Get started

1. Install RefKit from the Shopify App Store.
2. Open RefKit in Shopify Admin and create the first Program.
3. Add an Affiliate, then share their managed Affiliate Link or optional discount code.
4. Place a test order through the referral flow.
5. Check **Attributed orders** and **Commissions** in the RefKit Shopify app.

RefKit labels test orders and commissions and excludes them from live payout batches.

## Pay affiliates

RefKit records what affiliates earned but does not move the money. In **Payouts**, prepare and download a CSV batch, pay affiliates with your preferred provider, then mark the batch as paid.

Marking a payout batch as paid is final. Confirm the external payments before completing that action in RefKit.
